Step 1:
Click "Check My USDOT" and enter your USDOT number. Look at "Last MCS 150 Form Date". It must be done 2 years from that date.
You’ll see what the FMCSA has on file—check your MCS-150 form date, address, units, and drivers to make sure everything looks correct.
Step 2:
Check your records to see how you filed that last MCS 150 that went through. Most people pay stuff yearly thinking that the USDOT is getting updated when its actually not.
Step 3:
Research and figure out how to update yourself directly through fmcsa.dot.gov, or pick us to update! We have a "guaranteed file" meaning we are holding ourselves liable for it and we keep a very close eye on making sure your MCS is accepted and registration is provided.
We are a Federal Applications Processor for the MCS 150/biennial update, we will get it handled.
Our mission with DOT&GO is to make sure that people have the correct data and resources to do their own research and make their own choice.
This page is specifically to give you the information to file yourself through FMCSA. This process can be challenging for companies or owners who are not tech-savvy. We are family-owned, and we want to educate and make the process really simple and honest.
A USDOT is required for any vehicle over 10,001 pounds, including combined weight. It is also required for a vehicle transporting hazardous material and for transporting more than 8 passengers for compensation.
